Christopher Pearse Cranch Wallpapers
The art of Christopher Pearse Cranch — each piece digitally restored to remove various marks and blemishes, and reformatted for both standard and widescreen aspect ratios — specifically for this site by Psymon. For this purpose I took 10 of the 16 pieces featured on the Cranch Gallery of Paintings (where you can view them at smaller size only, but in their original aspect ratios), choosing only those pieces which dealt with the northeastern region of America and which were evocative of a “Waldensian” feeling of peace and tranquillity. As you can see, Cranch’s beautiful paintings work remarkably well and do not look distorted at all, regardless of their being either “squished” (left-to-right) for standard format, or “stretched” for widescreen format!
